Here’s a video with Hiram Bullock and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Vaughan needs no introduction, but Hiram isn’t as well known, but deserves to be. He’s a seriously great player. Sadly, he died a few years ago.
This isn’t a lesson – it’s a live performance. Have a listen to the great groove that the band has, and hear how Hiram plays the same line, over and over – he’s keeping it simple and uncomplicated, but it’s exactly what the song needs. Of course, Stevie Ray does a great solo and delivers a fantastic performance.
