Acoustic Guitar Lesson basic finger picking

If you’ve been playing guitar for a while, then you’ve probably tried some fingerpicking. In this video, Megan from NextLevelGuitar.com takes us through some of the basics of fingerpicking for acoustic guitar. She plays through a chord progression and then explains what she’s doing with her fingers.

I don’t do a lot of fingerpicking, but lessons like these are still really useful to me. I find they’re a good way to developing my playing so I get more confident in playing different styles.

Great vid! Thanks! I’ve been having a lot of trouble learning how to strum (or is it pluck) the strings , because I have never taken a formal lesson. Watching the close-up was really helpful. I think it would be easier, if I wasn’t a guy with big fingers. Guess I’ll have to keep practicing!
