I’m Allan, and I’m a guitar player from Adelaide, Australia.

I started playing guitar in the 80’s, inspired by the music I was hearing on the radio and watching on TV.

I’ve spent a lot of my life playing guitar in church-world so I’ve covered a LOT of different styles of music and worked with some fantastic musicians.

I started Strictly Guitar so I had a way to share my guitar playing experience with the world.

I love amp modellers – Line 6 Helix, Bias FX, Overloud TH-U to name a few and I also use a Variax guitar.

But I also love the sound of a Fender Strat through a cranked-up tube amp.

On the site, you’ll see articles about gear and becoming a better guitarist. I’ll also share a lot of the videos and tutorials that I’m watching.
