Premiere Guitar just published this video on their YouTube channel where Adrian Belew talks through his guitar rig.
He uses a Parker Fly, with a Line 6 Variax controller inside it to give the Variax guitar tones. He also has a Sustainer pickup to give infinite sustain.
Interesting to see he’s using an Axe FX for all the amp sounds.
Belew is an amazing player – whilst some of the stuff he plays is a bit too crazy, he’s one of the most innovative players I’ve ever come across – someone who plays the guitar differently to most people and gets sounds that other wouldn’t even think about.
